Sleeping up to 28 people in three Peak District bunk barns all next to each other. Our bunk barns have been converted from the existing Grade 2 listed farm buildings to high quality group bunk barn accommodation. Heating is by Ground Source Heat Pump and the conversion incorporates many recycled building materials such as flooring, doors and stonework.
We also utilise rainwater harvesting to flush the loos in the barns. All the bunk barns offer high quality accommodation with full size single bunk beds. The facilities in each include radiator central heating, full self-catering kitchens complete with all the cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and utensils you will need. Basic blankets and pillows are provided along with pillowcases and some tea towels, but sleeping bags/bedding and towels are required.
The kitchens are equipped with stainless ‘range’ cookers with extractor hoods, fridges, microwaves, toasters and kettles.
Our Peak District bunk barns are intended for groups looking for a base rather than a ‘holiday cottage’, so no sofas, telly or garden areas – sorry!
The Hadfield Bunk Barn.
Our largest bunk barn sleeps up to 14 people in two downstairs rooms of 6 and 8 bunks. The upstairs is an impressive large open dining/kitchen room with timber clad vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, it is capable (just!) of seating groups who book all of the barns, 28 people, (with all associated cutlery/crockery etc). There are 2 separate wcs and 2 separate showers.
The Hen House Bunk Barn.
The Hen House is a bunk barn for families and groups of up to 8 persons.
The Hen House has two bedrooms upstairs with 4 bunk beds in each, along with a luxury shower room/wc, all framed in the exposed beams of this listed barn. Downstairs is a large kitchen/dining room with pew seating, a downstairs wc and ample kitchen facilities for up to 8.
The Little Barn Bunk Barn.
The Little Barn is a dog free bunk barn for famililes and groups of up to 6 persons maximum.
The Little Barn offers the same range of facilities as the Hen House, except it comprises one large room with 6 bunks with a luxury shower/wc room upstairs; down stairs the open plan kitchen/dining room with ample facilities for self catering, and another wc.
